An icon in bakelite lore...here it is in green. The color is still bright, but you can see that it is starting to take on a patina on the edges. Many brown bracelets were once shades of forest, emerald and lime! It is charming in any color, and they are getting harder to find. We have it also in red, from the same estate. Circa mid 1940s. Hinge is tight, feels very nice when worn. Oval opening measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"
