Rare and whimsical novelty handcuff hinge bracelets. This is the only pair we have ever seen, and every time we take them out for fresh air, someone tries to steal them. Everyone wants them! We finally decided to part with them, and share them with the world.
Our theory is that perhaps these were some kind of carnival prize, sort of a cops/robbers - boyfriend/girlfriend sort of item. There are brass plates that could be engraved with names - fortunatly these have never been engraved. There is also a brass chain that connects the two bracelets together. Here is bakelite at it's campy best.
