We love Stardust and have been seeking out these very special pieces for years. According to "the books" on bakelite, stardust was only made in 1936. It was originally clear prystal bakelite, to which real gold flakes were added. The 72 years of aging has turned it all into a beautiful golden color, which the fakers cannot realistically recreate in their factories. Beware of imitations, as they are out there. But once you see the real thing, you will not mistake the new stuff for the old.
This is a lovely bangle, a rare treat for the devoted collector.
