SOLD Hector Aguilar Georgia O'Keeffe Belt

Price: No Price
Availability: sold
Prod. Code: 3700

The X belt is also known as the "Georgia O'Keeffe belt, as she is wearing it in the famous 1960 photograph by Tony Vaccaro. A lovely and wearable design from Hector Aguilar circa 1948. This belt is shown on page 103 of Mexican Silver by Morrill and Berk 3rd Edition.

Please note that this belt was probably altered at some point in time to accomodate a larger waist. It was done well, but you can see remnants of glue on the inside. This does not affect the wearability. It will fit a 33" waist or hips if worn slung low. Close-up of stitching detail HERE.

The condition is very good. The only hallmark appears on the belt buckle. It is the early stylized HA mark. Click HERE to see Hallmark.
Belt shown below with matching bracelet, not included, but also available on decotini.com.
