Nanna Ditzel ( Denmark 1923-2005) was the first female designer for Georg Jensen. Her organic, modernist style is timeless. Her designs are very wearable and minimalistic. She and her husband, Jorgan met while training as cabinet makers in art school. They began designing jewelry for Jensen in 1954. Jorgan died in 1960, and Nanna went on to become a celebrated furniture designer. She also continued to design jewelry for Jensen until her death a few years ago.
This is a lovely brooch, identical to our other #328 (shown in second photo), however this version has a small round onyx stone added to it. Excellent condition.
