This was one of the first pieces I purchased for my collection.  In the many years since, I have never encountered it again.  So, I suppose it can be described as somewhat scarce.

The round red base is wood. 

The woodpecker is bakelite.  Beak, head, body and tail. 

The little ball at the top of the pole is also bakelite.

The toy stands about 12" tall.  The little bird is about 2.25" tall.
