Clever detachable pendant does double duty as a brooch.  Beautifully designed by Margot de Taxco.
The pendant is hallmarked, but the necklace is not. I do believe the necklace is original to the pendant, due to the way it is made and the look.  The pendant attaches by a sturdy hook on the back (see photo).  The matching earrings are clip ons. The clip mechanisms probably iare not as tight as they were 50 years ago, but they are still tight enough to wear and keep on safely.
The necklace is polished, but the earrings have some patina. We will polish upon request, of course.

Hallmarks:
Pendant;  Margot de Taxco (partly worn away); Sterling Made in Mexico; Eagle #16; the design number may have been double struck on the pendant, as it has 5 digits, instead of the expected 4. I believe it is the same design as the earrings.
Earrings;  One of  the matching earrings has the design number 5645 stamped on it. The other earring has the eagle 16 mark. Those are the only marks on the earrings.
